I've lived in Birmingham for 12 years. I always recommend people visit the neighborhoods like Avondale, Woodlawn, Forest Park, etc. to see the good bits of Birmingham. We have 6 breweries and a ton of delicious restaurants to delight your tastebuds. Our art museum is free. We have several parks for walking, biking, relaxing. Most people enjoying imbibing on the alchy at bars at night, so we've plenty of establishments to frequent-from dive to rooftop. We have a walking trail, a bike share program, a growing downtown, lots of artisans, and a positive buzz about our town. My boyfriend and I are 32/33 respectively, enjoy beer/food/laughs/karaoke/good times. We'd be more than happy to show you a day in the life on Birmingham, hitting ALL the good spots sure to make you rethink Alabama!
