Hi, I'm Julian. Welcome to the start of your Tokyo adventures.
As a travel writer for a variety of global media, including Wine Spectator and in-flight magazines, I'm happy to share the best of local life via food & drink, art, shrines, cafes and nature. Evenings are for cuisine curiosity, bars, and any number of special dishes in choice spots. Tokyo is also a great city for walking.
Having lived in Tokyo for 15 years I've sampled a lot, but there is always something new -- from quaint low-key scenes or quiet urban shrines in shady groves to Michelin highlights, and so much more too.
Washoku, kaiseki cuisine, yakitori, tonkatsu, sushi, sashimi, soul-warming miso ramen or soba, are just a few new realms of flavor.
Packed with interesting locales, museums, nature, parks, galleries, food and more, Tokyo wont disappoint.
Feel free to ask questions.
Cheers.
Note: If we are dining together or if there are any fees, I'd appreciate it if the bill is taken care of. Thanks.
