I am a high school teacher by trade, so edutainment in large groups is my specialty!
I love Berlin, because for Europe it is one of the most unique historical sites. A walk down Unter den Linden like Napoleon to the historic Brandenburg Gate is a must, as is a visit to the historic TV Tower and Kirche at Alexander Platz. I also find a visit to the remnants of the Berlin Wall Memorial on Bernauer Strasse and a quick ride to the Bösebrücke bridge, where East Berliners first crossed into West Berlin to the cantaions of David Hasselhoff when the wall fell.
I additionally cover the Parliament Buildings, Berlin Cathedral Church, Holocaust Memorial, and a grand walk along the River Spree.
For those more interested in local and food culture, we'll be spending some time in Kreuzberg, Berlin's "coolest" neighborhood. Free time in the open-air as well and indoor markets, and a look at some of the Berlin underground scene will reveal what's going on in modern-day Berlin.
