Everglades National Park covers 1.5 million acres of South Florida, and this tram tour, narrated by the Park Naturalist, will take you in the heart of the Everglades in a remote area about an hour drive from Miami. This is known to be the best way to experience the Everglades, as you may come across plenty of wildlife: alligators, turtles, deer, egrets, herons, ibis, wood storks, roseate spoonbills, snakebirds, and raccoons. Also included in the tour is a 360 degree panorama view of the Everglades from the 45-foot high observation tower, and a visit to the Visitor Center which features educational displays, a park video, an underwater camera, brochures, and gifts. There is also a half-mile boardwalk trail behind the Visitor Center. Two tours, morning and afternoon are available every Saturday and Sunday. The flat rate of $580 covers hotel pickup and drop-off, park entrance fee, and tram ride tickets for up to 6 persons. Hotel Pickup for the morning tour is 7am; for the afternoon, 2pm.
