Want to know the history of Tokyo? Well, I can tell you about it while visiting the Asakusa Area and the amazing red Sensoji Temple. Shop at Nakamise Dori, eat Melonpan, pray at the temple and discover your fortune with Omikuji.
A nice walk in Asakusa district, sourrounded by an ancient atmospehere and food and local shops. Take a small break to taste some japanese product before move to the Old Town Yanaka, the shitamachi.
Here, we can see an ancient part of Tokyo, not destroyed during the WWII, with an old fashion atmosphere and many secondhand kimono shops, with super cheap price. Yanaka is also know as the town of cats, so we can stop to eat some cat-shape sweets. Walking through the huge Yanaka Cemetery we'll walk till Ueno Park, where we can see some temples before say goodbye or stop for eating some street food at Ameyokocho, a nice commercial alley under the railways!
